Happy Academy Awards Sunday! Whether you are heading over to a friend’s house to watch the Red Carpet pre-show or snuggling on the couch waiting for the Best Actress to be announced, homemade pita chips and hummus are the perfect snack.
Remember when I posted about the health benefits of Garbanzo Beans? You can reap the nutrients of these beans through hummus! Here is the recipe that I posted on my other food blog, HERBan Explorer. The hummus recipe is from my boyfriend’s Lebanese family, so it is 100% authentic!
Hummus at the store costs around $5! Use that money to buy ingredients and you can make an even bigger homemade batch.
You can also make your own homemade pita chips, which I also featured on HERBan Explorer. It only takes a few minutes with a few inexpensive ingredients and you will have the perfect crunchy partner for your creamy dip!
On a different note, I am selling my Nikon Coolpix P80 Camera so I can upgrade to a DSLR. Visit the listing on Craigslist if you are interested! It is a lightweight camera that takes super high quality pictures–perfect for everyday use or special occasions.
After searching the web, I’ve found nine super creative and wild phone cases that would add pizzazz to your phone and be a definitely conversation starter.
I had to include a couple crazy ones like the bacon and the realistic sushi. How wild are they! All of the cases except the sushi one can be found on Etsy.com. A few of these cases are available in other cell phones makes like Blackberry and Android. These would also make a great birthday gift!
Also please forgive me…After I made the collages I realized that a few of the cases are sold out on the website. Sorry!
If you could chose one from above which would you pick and why? I love the Pop Rocks cover because the neon blue and green would really “pop” on my black iPhone. Have you found one that you like that is not listed above? Can’t wait to hear.
It’s the fresh 9-grain bread that makes this Tuna Melt gourmet. On my latest HERBan Explorer post you’ll learn how to make this simple and inexpensive meal for yourself.
I like making my Tuna Melts open-faced with sliced tomatoes. Plus, the addition of hot sauce kicks up the flavors. You can have fun with your own combination, too! Along with the step-by-step photographed recipe you can read more about my adventure at the Saturday market.
